Why does my desktop cursor jump around12/6/2023 ![]() It's not the same, idk why, but the mouse does jump around as you can see, and it's annoying.ĮDIT: I didn't think it mattered, but well, it probably does - i'm running GW2 in Linux, POP OS, installed through lutris. For lack of better explanation.Īnd it's SO distracting, it makes using the UI so bad!Īnd here's what my mobile phone captured (what i see on screen): This happens as the cursor is changing icons. The touchscreen functions are not impacted at this time, nor does the cursor move around while I am typing. Same sort of thing happened with my internet connection. Prior to this it seemed like someone was controlling my pointer. It seems to be particularly jumpy when I slow down the speed in which I move the cursor across the screen. Now my two finger scrolling works again and the pointer is no longer jumping around on its own or selecting random items. Sometimes happens in the inventory too, between bags, and other UI elements that change the cursor. This morning, my cursor began to erratically jump around the screen while I was using my keyboards touch pad. This also happens in the dye panel, the cursor chages to the "dye picker" thing, but as i move it from side to side across dyes - as it changes from the picker to the pointer and back (as it moves between boxes and gaps in the boxes), it's sometimes above where it's supposed to be, then goes back to normal, then to the side, then random again. 1 The problem is usually with the touch screen, but I dont know what kind of operation you did when you 'removed default touch pad mouse hardware'. The paragraphs are reformatted as you type, spaces are added to fill out short lines when a word is wrapped around and words close up and jump back from. ![]() I tried setting the variables like shown is some posts here but that is not the case. Even a small stain or sticky spot can throw off your touchpad's sensitivity, so it is vital that the pad remain clean of all extraneous substances. Dampen a clean cloth with some isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol and then pat the pad dry with a paper towel. My mouse is behaving like it lags but thats not the case. Turn your computer off and then clean your touchpad. The problem is, in the hero panel, each time the cursor moves from the item to between the gaps of the item frames the cursor changes from the pointer to the hand.īut what i'm experiencing is - the cursor then jumps slightly to the side, then back, or above where the normal cursor path is supposed to be. I am having a wierd issue with my mouse after i switch from a 1920x1080p monitor to a 3840x1080. Let Windows check for a new driver and install. Now, under Mouse and other pointing devices, right-click your mouse and select Update driver. ![]() ![]() So whatever's happening is happening on my screen, but not at video? Idk why, doesn't make sense. Right click the Start button and select Device Manager. I recorded a video of it, but it doesn't show on video. ![]()
